# GymSnitch

> GymSnitch ("GymSnitch: Workout or Else!") is a gym accountability app for iOS and Android. On every training day you post a photo proving you worked out before local midnight — or your squad of friends and family is automatically notified that you skipped.

GymSnitch is built on social accountability instead of rewards: the motivation is that other people will notice when you don't show up. It is free to download, with an optional subscription (GymSnitch Pro).

## How it works

- Users choose their training days and invite a squad (friends, family, gym partners).
- On each training day, the user must post a proof photo of their workout before midnight in their local time zone.
- If no proof is posted, every squad member receives an alert, the user's streak resets, and the skip is recorded permanently on their yearly record ("skulls").
- Users who have a genuine reason can file an excuse. The squad votes "LEGIT" or "CAP"; if the majority rejects it, it counts as a skip. Ties are accepted.
- Planned breaks (holidays, illness) can be requested in advance as a leave, which the squad also votes on.
- There are deliberately no skip passes: a skip cannot be undone by paying.

## Key features

- Proof photos taken in the moment (no check-in buttons).
- Squads of up to 15 people (1 on the free plan).
- Snitchy: an AI squad member that checks whether proof photos show a real workout, judges excuses and votes in the council (GymSnitch Pro).
- Watchers without the app: people can receive alerts by email or Telegram and vote via a web link, without installing anything.
- Streaks, milestone badges (day 7, 30, 100, 365) and a yearly skip record.
- A "shame" button squad members can use to nudge someone who skipped.
- Available in 33 languages (36 localizations including regional variants), including right-to-left support for Arabic, Hebrew and Persian.

## Pricing

- Free: full core app with one squad member; includes ads.
- GymSnitch Pro (monthly or yearly subscription, with a free trial on the yearly plan): up to 15 squad members, AI workout verification, alerts for watchers without the app, no ads, priority support. Prices vary by country.

## Privacy

- All uploaded photos, profile pictures and excuse texts are screened by an automated content-moderation service (OpenAI) to block violent or sexually explicit content; users give explicit consent to this during onboarding.
- Proof photos are only visible to the user's own squad.
- Accounts can be deleted in the app or via the web at any time.
